    Astronomy presentation
    Professor Alexander Pavlov of the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory will discuss “”Snowball Glaciations – Duration and Recovery.”” This discussion will take place a Kuiper Space Sciences in room 308 at 3:30p.m.

    Exploring Alamos history
    John Messina, a research architect with the Southwest Center and the UA School of Architecture, provides a well-informed history and interpretive description of Álamos in his book “”Álamos, Sonora: Architecture and Urbanism in the Dry Tropics.”” This book event will take place at the UofA Bookstore at 4:30 p.m.

    Free classical concert
    The Civic Orchestra of Tucson opens its 2008-2009 season with this special concert, under the direction of Maestro Herschel Kreloff and featuring the music of Debussy, Wagner, Handel and Beethoven. This free concert will be taking place at the Leo Rich Theater at 260 S. Church Ave, at 7:30 p.m.
