Arizona women’s tennis head coach Vicky Maes announced Tuesday that Nick Dargene has been added to the Wildcats’ staff as an assistant coach.
Dargene, who previously coached at Air Force, led the Falcons to three consecutive 15-win seasons. In 2011, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association named him the Mountain Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
“We are extremely excited to announce the hiring of Nick Dargene,” Maes said in a press release. “He is an excellent addition to our staff. I have known Nick for several years and have gotten to know him even better during the hiring process. He is a person of great integrity, a well-experienced coach, and overall just a great guy to be around.”
Dargene coached at Wyoming for two seasons before moving to Air Force. Before working for Wyoming, he was a volunteer assistant tennis coach for his alma mater, the University of Iowa.
The Wildcats have posted a 31-16 record and advanced to the NCAA Team Championships in the last two years.
