    3 things to know today

    Tech applications due

    Applications for the Information Technology Student Advisory Board are due today. Board members will meet once a week until spring break to discuss technology issues. Following the Arizona Board of Regents’ decision this spring, the board will meet twice a semester. All students are encouraged to apply. Applications can be found at http://oscr.arizona.edu/sab.

    Free basketball game

    Arizona women’s basketball will be holding faculty and staff appreciation night at 7 p.m. at McKale Center. Faculty and staff members with valid CatCards can get themselves and a guest into the game free. Arizona will be playing Southern California. For more information, contact Erika Hanson at 621-2873.

    Today’s college students not nerdy

    Students who enter college as pre-teens no longer fit the stereotype of unhappy, isolated “”nerds,”” according to a study released by the University of Washington. The study found that 12- to 14-year-olds who enter college are actually social and gifted, contrary to popular belief.
