    3 Things to know today

    Last day of classes

    Today is the last day of classes for the fall semester, with finals beginning Friday. For the winter session, the UA will be closed beginning Dec. 25 and will reopen on Jan. 2. The Main Library hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends from noon to 6 p.m.

    Seeking Ombuds nominations

    The President’s Office is looking for nominations for people to serve on the Ombuds Committee. Ombuds are students, faculty, staff or administrators who demonstrate interpersonal skills, fairness and objectivity and are trained in alternative dispute resolution, mediation techniques, diversity awareness and communication skills. Ombuds often serve as a neutral third party in disputes. Nominations can be submitted online at ombuds.arizona.edu/~ombuds/nomination.html.

    Hadley memorial today

    The memorial service for murdered professor Mac E. Hadley will be held today at 11 a.m. in the DuVal Auditorium in the Arizona Health Sciences Center, 1501 N. Campbell Ave. Hadley was a professor of cell biology and anatomy with the UA for almost 40 years.
