Arizona head softball coach Mike Candrea was taken from Sunday’s game against ASU in Tempe, Ariz., by an ambulance, according to the Arizona Daily Star. No details of Candrea’s condition were available, a UA spokesperson said.

Candrea was not present for his normal coaching duties on the third base line after he left the game during the third inning, the Daily Star reported. Coach Larry Ray has taken over Candrea’s coaching duties as the game continues.

The Wildcats lost to the Sun Devils 7-6.
