Arizona Gymnastics will host No. 8 Nebraska this Saturday at 4 p.m. in McKale Center. Nebraska has only lost one meet to No. 4 Michigan, and its average score so far this season is 196.415.

The key gymnasts for the Huskers are Jennifer Lauer and Jessie DeZeil. Lauer has won three beam titles so far this season, and DeZeil has consistently scored high in all-around.

UA senior Aubree Cristello will go head to head with DeZeil because they are both normally top finishers in the all-around. The lineup will have to be on top of its game this weekend if it hopes to keep up with Nebraska.

According to Arizona Head Coach Bill Ryden, there was a huge question mark placed over this weekend’s lineup due to multiple injuries.

Jordan Williams may or may not come back this weekend due to an injured knee, but it would be a huge help to the Cats if she did. Allison Flores, who has also put up consistent scores, sustained an unknown injury during her floor exercise last weekend.

Despite injuries, the team may still pull off a win. The coaches choose six gymnasts to compete in each event, but there is always room for changes and replacements. The gymnasts who perform in exhibition events this Saturday might want to emulate freshman Jessie Sisler, who shined on floor and beam in the last meet.
