Lexi Watins helps paint a mural as part of the Speedway Corridor Mural Project on March 20. Monique Laraway, the artist of the mural, incorporated themes of urban inclusivity and safe streets.
When students returned to campus after spring break, they were greeted by six new pieces of the Speedway Corridor Mural Project. The project, headed by artist Allison Miller, manifested close to campus on Speedway Boulevard on a stretch from Campbell Avenue to Park Avenue. The Daily Wildcat caught Monique Laraway and her team of artists painting one of the murals on March 20 and stopped by to get a closer look.
