First look at Arizona football’s upcoming season

Starting quarterback Noah Fifita gets in practice throws during spring ball practice at Arizona Stadium on March 30. Fifita became the starting quarterback earlier in the year after beginning as a backup.

While the home opener for Arizona football is still nearly five months away, there is action within Arizona Stadium as the team has started their spring ball practices, which will conclude with their spring game on April 27. The team hosted three different public practices so fans could catch an early look at the Wildcats before they make their debut in the Big 12 Conference later in the year. Arizona finished the 2023 season with a 10-3 and capped off the season with a victory in the Alamo Bowl against Oklahoma. They were featured in the top 20 nationally ranked teams at the end of the season and hope to push for a playoff appearance in this upcoming season’s expanded College Football Playoff.
