Nightfall’s “Reign of Terror” opened at Old Tucson Studios on Sept. 27. Upon entering, visitors were spooked by the demons and clowns walking by. The event began with an “Opening Scaramony” where the gargoyles of Nightfall put on a comedic performance with the crowd before introducing Queen Mary Hyde, the Demon Queen of Nightfall. From there, visitors made their way to the variety of live performances and attractions including “The Trial of Tom Olsen,” Dabne the Clown’s “Magic Spectacular” and “The Art of Science” comedy stunt show. Performances often feature audience interaction, as visitors had the chance to become one of the jurors in the trial or take their place as Dabne’s assistant. Nightfall also had other family-oriented attractions such as a mini-golf course, ball tossing, bull riding and caricature painting. The event additionally had a wide variety of dining options and shops for visitors coming by.
