The University of Arizona baseball team (41–18) is set to compete in the Eugene NCAA Regional final on Sunday, June 1, at 7 p.m. MST at PK Park in Eugene, Oregon. The Wildcats’ opponent will be determined by the outcome of the 3 p.m. MST elimination game between the California Polytechnic State University (42–18) and Utah Valley University (33–28). The winner of that game will face Arizona in the final.
Arizona enters the final with a 2-0 record in the regional, needing just one more win to advance to its first Super Regional since 2021. In the Wildcats’ previous games, Arizona edged out Cal Poly 3-2 and followed up the victory with a program-setting record over Utah Valley by hitting eight home runs to secure an explosive 14-4 victory.
Shortstop Mason White has been a standout performer, going 4-for-5 with 3 home runs and 4 RBIs in the win over Utah Valley. The Wildcats’ bullpen has also been impressive, with right-handers Casey Hintz and Michael Hilker Jr. combining for six innings of near-perfect relief in the same game.
Should Arizona fall to a loss, a second game will be played on Monday to determine the regional champion. However, with their current momentum and strong performances, the Wildcats are in a favorable position to clinch the regional title tonight.
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. Fans can also listen to the broadcast on Wildcats Radio 1290 AM.
