On June 11 protestors gathered at the intersection of Valenica and Country Club to protest the recent activity from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. Protestors started at the intersection and marched to the ICE building a couple blocks away where they were met with security. The two groups exchanged pepper spray, paint bombs, fireworks, pepperballs, and rocks before the security guards pulled out and protestors took to the ICE building with rocks and spray paint to graffiti and break windows. Protestors were then met with Tucson Police before retreating to the original intersection where they carried on for about an hour before police moved in to disperse the “unlawful assembly”. Three individuals were taken into custody during this. Many protestors relocated to a nearby neighborhood where ICE was reportedly knocking on doors.
