Wednesday, July 8 Take a trip back in time to Fourth Avenue's charming Café Passé for their Wednesday and Thursday summer special: a gourmet sandwich and your choice of coffee or iced tea for $6. Crooning music, local art, cultured decor, and a patio among the loveliest in Tucson will have you thinking you are taking a break from antique shopping in Europe. Café Passé, 415 N. 4th Ave., (520) 624-4411.

Thursday, July 9 The saying "you always want what you can't have" seems particularly true when hearing all of the wistful conversations desert dwellers have about one of our most coveted resources - rain. The Nature Conservancy will teach you that not only can you have rain, you can put it to use in your home and business, too. Learn about appropriate rainwater harvesting techniques and environmentally friendly design in a free Rainwater Harvesting Demonstration Site Tour. The Nature Conservancy, 1510 E. Fort Lowell Rd., (520) 622-3861. 8 a.m., free.

Friday, July 10 Sacha Baron Cohen is at it again when his new character "Brüno," an interviewer for Austrian gay TV fashion show, "Fashionpolizei," travels throughout the U.S. a la Borat style. Even the previews for "Brüno" can make you laugh out loud as the talented Cohen explores celebrity, the fashion world, and the club scene mentality all with an in-your-face dose of flamboyance. Check out thebrunomovie.com or his "meinspace" at www.meinspace.com/bruno to see what all the fuss is about.

Haven't had enough glamour in your Friday night? After Brüno, get your friends together to experience Scottsdale-based Video DJ Steel at Club Level, who is back by popular demand. Dance music and drink specials in a posh Foothills setting will have you feeling so sexy and wonderful you won't know what to do with yourself. Level Bar and Lounge, 4280 N. Campbell Ave., www.leveltucson.com. 9 p.m. Call (520) 615-3835 for price details.

Saturday, July 11 Pocket for yourself an artifact from UA taught artist Adan De La Garza during his final Tucson exhibition titled "Steal my art!: An exploration through the archives of un-sellable work and failed ideas of Adan De La Garza." His work, sometimes relational, often amusing, and always fresh, will be featured in the form of photographs, screen-prints, zines, and "other random art" that he has completed throughout his 6-year Tucson career. Steal his art now before he becomes famous, because when that happens you'll actually have to cough up some dough. The 5th on 6th Art Studio & Gallery, 439 N. 6th Ave. In the Sixth and Sixth Building, #153. 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. Free.

This night is an ideal date night as American singer-songwriter Pete Yorn romances Tucson with his wholesome acoustic melodies, starry-eyed lyrics, and earnestly sweet voice. In the past, Yorn has garnered international fame, chart topping singles, and tours with such artists as Foo Fighters and Coldplay, but this tour will promote his new full-length album Back and Forth, due out on iTunes June 16 and in stores on June 23. The Rialto Theatre, 318 E. Congress St., (520) 740-1000. 7:30 p.m., $23.50.

Sunday, July 12 Canadian alternative country legends Cowboy Junkies will be hooking up with the gritty Americana tunes of Son Volt, providing quintessential music for the summertime lull. Cowboy Junkies have haunted audiences since the late 1980s with their melancholy aesthetic and hit Velvet Underground cover, "Sweet Jane." Critically acclaimed Son Volt released their new album American Central Dust this week. Among other sounds, slide guitar, soulful vocals, harmonica, and an attraction to major chords will show the audience that even cowboys get the blues, and when they do it sounds phenomenal. The Rialto Theatre, 318 E. Congress St., (520) 740-1000. 8 p.m., $27 - $31 advance tickets.

Monday, July 13 Have you ever seen a movie that has been so bad that it went full circle back to good again? Well, The Loft Cinema understands this concept and will be presenting the horrendously amazing 1986 film, "House: Ding Dong You're Dead," a horror that has such cheesy jokes and fake looking monsters that it becomes a comedy. The Loft Cinema, 3233 E. Speedway Blvd., (520) 795-7777. 8 p.m., $2.

Tuesday, July 14 Every Tuesday night, Tucson's bike community prides itself in their friendly and accessible Tuesday Night Bike Ride, where people meet at 8 p.m. in front of the Old Main at the UA to weave in and out of Tucson's streets at a leisurely pace during the cool summer evening, allowing cyclists to socialize and explore Tucson as a group.
