The UA men's basketball team will play its final two Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tipoff games in the consolation bracket in Athens, Ga., next week.

The Wildcats (1-1) will play Mississippi Valley State (0-4) Monday at the University of Georgia's Stegeman Coliseum at 3:45 p.m. Tucson time. They will take on Santa Clara (1-2) at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Santa Clara played in McKale Center earlier this week and lost to both Alabama-Birmingham and Mississippi Valley State.

Arizona had the opportunity to go to the Final Four of the tournament at Madison Square Garden in New York City, but lost 72-71 to UAB Tuesday night.

The Wildcats were not able to host the four-team consolation tournament because the UA women's basketball team has a game scheduled against Texas A&M on Tuesday night in McKale.
