Lecture on nutrition and breast cancer
The Arizona Cancer Center and the Arizona Telemedicine Program are presenting a free lecture on nutrition and breast cancer. This event will be held at two locations in the Tucson area from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at St. Elizabeth’s Health Center, 140 Speedway Blvd, Suite 100 (520-628-7871 Ext. 143) and Peter and Paula Fasseas Cancer Clinic at UMC North, 3838 N. Campbell Ave., Room 1291 (520-694-2873). Reservations are recommended.
Writing workshop
Joe Stefani of the Writing Skills Improvement Program will discuss “”The Basics of Writing a Strong, Clear Essay.”” It will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Education building room 318.
Sustainability Film Series: “”Instinct””
The Gallagher Theater will be showing “”Instinct”” as part of its Sustainability Film Series at 5 p.m. The film is inspired by the Daniel Quinn novel “”Ishmael,”” and examines the mind of an anthropologist (Anthony Hopkins) who has been missing for a few years, living in the jungle with gorillas.
