The Arizona baseball team eliminated Miami with a 4-3 comeback victory on Sunday night. They will need two victories Monday against Ole Miss to advance to the Super Regional.
Dawson Netz got the start on the mound for the Wildcats and surrendered only one run in four innings pitched, a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning.
Mac Bingham homered in the third inning to left-center to tie the game 1-1. Anthony Susac walked a batter and then let up a two-run homer to make it 3-1 Miami through six innings.
Arizona refused to go away late with their season on the line as they crept closer in the eighth inning with a Tony Bullard homer to right field to make it 3-2 Miami.
With two outs in the top of the ninth inning, the Wildcats were down to their final strike with Daniel Susac at the plate and Nik McClaughry on second base after singling and advancing on a wild pitch. Susac was then hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second.

Tanner O’Tremba then stepped to the plate and hit a double to the gap in right-center field. McClaughry scored from second base and Tyler Casagrande scored from first after entering the game to pinch run for Susac to make it 4-3 Arizona.
Quinn Flanagan got the save in the bottom of the ninth and the Wildcats live another day.
“Wow, that was exciting,” Arizona head coach Chip Hale said. “They never stopped fighting. Very proud.”
“I think the biggest thing you can do as a hitter in that situation with a guy who is that good and throws that hard is just trying to hit something hard the other way,” O’Tremba said. “Not trying to do too much. Take a deep breath and I think that was the biggest thing I told myself is, if I give us a chance by putting the ball in play and you know we got Nick on second and hopefully it leads to a run so I think just staying on top and not trying to do too much was the goal there.”
The first pitch of what Arizona hopes to be the first of two games is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. MST on Monday.
