We saw Kinoko being walked down East University Boulevard and North Sixth Avenue and decided to see what he had to say.

Wildcat: How long have you been living, Kinoko?

    Owner: Four years.

W: You’re so cute. What did you eat today?

    K: (Silence.)

    Owner: Dog food.

W: Let’s see. How do you feel about animal cruelty?

    K: (Silence.)

W: I don’t think he wants to answer. OK, if you could go to any city in the world, what city would it be?

    K: (Silence.)

Owner: He’d probably go to Japan.

W: Oh, is that where he’s from?

    Owner: No, he’s from here.

W: You have to answer. You have to answer!

    K: (Silence.)

W: He doesn’t want to answer. I wonder if he’d answer if I gave him a treat. I don’t even have a treat. Let’s see, what’s your favorite month?

    Owner: June.

W: OK, what’s worse? Cats or leashes? Cats or leashes?

    K: (Silence.)

W: He’s not even going to answer. OK, I’ll tell you a joke. Now he’s running away. He doesn’t want to hear my joke. What’s a cross between a sheep dog and a rose? A collieflower!

    K: (Silence.)

W: A collieflower. You don’t even look at me. Did I ask how he feels about animal cruelty? How do you feel? I don’t think he liked it; he licked himself. OK, last one. What’s a dog’s favorite city?

    K: (Silence.)

    W: New Yorkie!

    K: (Silence.)

    W: Get it? New Yorkie.

Owner: He barks at people all the time. He likes you a lot.

W: He knows he’s going to be a celebrity. And now he wants to go. OK, I’ll let him go.
