    Watch your grammar, Wildcat!

The subheading of your Jan. 25 article “”New dorms approved,”” read “”despite residents plea, planning for 3 dorms underway.”” I haven’t refreshed my memory on proper style recently. If I recall correctly, however, headlines should reflect the rules of written English. I didn’t even read the rest of the paper today; what else would I have found? If the Wildcat is revolting against the stifling restrictions of punctuation on creative freedom, perhaps someone should write an article about that. If that’s an incorrect conclusion, perhaps I could recommend, with the highest degree of respect for the journalistic process, copy editing.

    The Wildcat ‘recycling’ program

As I walked south on Park Avenue this morning at 8 a.m. I noticed a pickup spewing a plume of Daily Wildcats all over Park Avenue. I was delighted to then find that the top headline was about “”Recycle Mania.”” Is this the Wildcat’s method of getting the word out about the need for recycling? Furthermore, after seeing two dumpsters filled with the current day’s Wildcat outside the Gould-Simpson building at 10 one morning a few weeks ago, I wonder exactly how the Wildcat is contributing to the “”greening”” of the U of A. Perhaps the “”Weekly Wildcat”” would be a better use of resources.

    ‘Stop wasting my time,’ CatTran!

I don’t know why this university pretends to have a nighttime CatTran, which, according to the schedule, runs to various places on campus until 12:45 a.m.

I was at one of the listed places last night for 30 (THIRTY) MINUTES, and didn’t see a sign of the thing (hint: I was 10 minutes early, so couldn’t have “”just missed it.””

Why do these people think I want to stand out in the cold/wind/rain for half an hour for something which isn’t going to show up? Why do they think I like weirdos looking me up and down as they go by? In other words, what is WRONG with you people?

Stop wasting my time and be more considerate of my safety!!
