Kyle Fogg’s life after Arizona basketball will begin in Portsmouth, Va.

Along with 63 other college seniors, Fogg has accepted an invite to play in the Portsmouth Invitational, from April 11-14, where he’ll have his first chance to showcase his skills in front of a host of NBA and international scouts.

Aside from NBA Pre-Draft Camps, the PIT is the only postseason event dedicated solely to college seniors, who are each guaranteed to play in three games.

Fogg, a 2012 first-team All-Pac-12 selection and member of the conference All-Defensive team, will be the fifth UA player to compete in the event – former UA point guard Nic Wise played in the PIT in 2010.

Despite averaging 13.5 points per game, shooting 44.4 percent from three and developing into one of the conference’s best defenders, Fogg is still a long ways away from hearing his name called on draft day.

But Fogg’s work ethic and willingness to compete – he played in more games than any player in Arizona history – could land him in the association before his basketball career comes to an end.

The entire PIT rosters have yet to be released. Former PIT players of note include New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin (2010), Los Angeles Lakers point guard Andrew Goudelock (2011), and Chicago Bulls small forward Jimmy Butler (2011).
