A student was arrested for underage drinking at 12:16 a.m. on Sept. 16 after police saw her staggering into the right-turn lane on East First Street, reports stated.

Police stopped the student near North Vine Avenue and could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from her mouth.

The student’s eyes were red and watery and her speech was slurred.

The student started crying and told police, “”I’m sorry. I’m really a good person.””

The student said she was coming from a date dash and admitted to drinking “”a little.””

Police cited the student and took her to her residence hall.

A student was arrested for underage drinking at 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 16 after police saw her dancing in the street near East Second Street and North Vine Avenue, reports stated.

When police stopped their vehicle, the student started to stagger away.

Police made contact with the student and could smell a strong odor of alcohol on her breath.

The student’s eyes were bloodshot and she was mumbling.

The student verbally identified herself with a fake name when asked by police.

Police talked with the student about giving false information and the student told them her real name.

The student told police, “”I had a couple of drinks.””

Police cited and released the student.

A student’s vehicle was stolen sometime between Sept. 15 and Sept. 16 while it was parked at 520 N. Euclid Ave., reports stated.

The student told police he parked his vehicle at 11 p.m. on Sept. 15, and when he returned at 2:45 p.m. on Sept. 16, the vehicle was gone.

The student’s $220 mp3 player, $200 cell phone, $350 subwoofer and $250 amplifier were also in the vehicle.

The student told police the vehicle had been locked and both sets of keys were accounted for.

The student said his vehicle had 17-inch, 20-spoke chrome rims.

Police didn’t find any broken glass or other evidence in the area.

Police checked nearby parking lots and were unable to locate the missing vehicle.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A soda machine was damaged sometime between Sept. 15 and Sept. 16 at the Cooperative Extension, 4210 N. Campbell Ave.

An employee told police that when she left work at 6 p.m. on Sept. 15 the soda machine was fine, and when she returned at 7 a.m. on Sept. 16 she noticed the damage.

The cover of the soda machine door was completely torn off and the metal frame was bent.

Police didn’t find any fingerprints on the soda machine.

The employee told police she would call the vendor responsible for the machine.

Pictures were taken of the damaged soda machine and placed into evidence.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

An unknown man attempted to steal a student’s backpack at 9:30 a.m. from the Marroney Theatre, 1025 N. Olive Road, reports stated.

The student told police she entered the theater through the west-side door and saw an unknown man leaving the room with her backpack.

The student asked the man what he was doing with her backpack.

The man tried to say the backpack belonged to his sister but gave the student her backpack back.

The man told the student, “”We’ll talk,”” and left the room through the northwest door.

The student told police she saw the man get into an older model vehicle with a dented trunk.

The student didn’t see the license plate.

Police were unable to find the vehicle in the area.

No other items were found missing from the room.
