Today is the last day to pay for this semester’s tuition without late charges. Students can pay under WebPay on Student Link from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. To avoid late charges, students should pay for all expected units even if they’re not completely registered by this date.

Time to file a GRO

Students can file a Grade Replacement Opportunity today through Feb 6. GRO forms are available in the Office of the Registrar in the Administration building, Room 210, or online at:

Toenails hold tobacco carcinogens

A carcinogenic chemical in tobacco products has been found in toenails of smokers and non-smokers exposed to secondhand smoke, according to cancer researchers at the University of Minnesota Cancer Center. The study, which was published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention, showed the negative effects of secondhand smoke in non-smokers, who had NNK, a cancer-causing agent, in their toenails.
