The annual UA Study Abroad Fair will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4 where students can have a chance to learn and get more information about the different study abroad programs offered at the UA.
The fair is UA Global Initiatives’ biggest event of the year, with over 60 exhibitors present at the fair.
Students can learn and ask questions about the different programs offered and can hear perspectives and stories from hosts and presenters from other countries including Italy, Mexico and Taiwan.
Alumni, faculty and staff will be present to promote and advertise the programs offered and answer any questions anyone might have about studying abroad.
According to Lisa Turker, associate director of study abroad operations and engagement, over 1,000 students visited the fair last year and on average, roughly 1,200 students study abroad every year.
“It’s a really good time to talk to the faculty and ask questions because they’re all accessible there,” Turker said. “It’s also a good chance to come and talk to alumni that have been to programs so you can get a good idea of what it’s like and to see how the experience has helped them and impacted them.”
The event will take place in the Student Union Memorial Center North Ballroom from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
