A student was referred to the dean of students for possession of marijuana Feb. 12, reports stated.

A resident assistant reported smelling marijuana from one of the rooms in Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St.

When police went to the room, the student took a minute to open the door. When he did, he told police, “”I just got back and I’m unpacking.””

The student told police he had just gotten back from Las Vegas, where he was playing Frisbee.

A police officer asked the student if he brought any “”fun”” back from Las Vegas.

The student said, “”I am not gonna lie to you. I did.””

He showed police a small black bag containing marijuana in his desk drawer.

He was referred to the Dean of Students Office for diversion.

A student’s vehicle window was smashed and his DVD player stolen Feb. 12, reports stated.

The damage occurred while the vehicle was parked in the Cherry Avenue Parking Garage, 1641 N. Enke Drive, between 2 p.m. Feb. 7 and 3 a.m. Feb. 12.

The passenger’s side window was smashed and the dashboard was damaged.

An egg was also smashed on the rear window. No other evidence was found.

A label-maker, wireless computer mouse and electric scale were stolen from the College of Medicine, 1501 N. Campbell Ave., sometime between Feb. 8, 9:30 a.m., and Feb. 11, 2 p.m.

An employee waited to report the items to check and see if any employees had removed the items from the room.

The employee told police that patients and employees are in the room throughout the day and the room is always staffed or locked. The employee didn’t know who had keys to the room.

Police didn’t find any damage on the door to the room.

A student’s books were stolen in the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., Feb. 11, reports stated.

The student told police he went to the bathrooms on the third floor around noon.

When he returned to the table he was sitting at, five textbooks were missing from his backpack under the table. No other items were stolen.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student’s car window was broken out Feb. 11 between 1 p.m. and 3:42 p.m., reports stated.

A police aide discovered the window had been broken out at 3:42 p.m. in lot 8106, 1420 E. Seventh St.

It looked like a screwdriver had been used to pry the window from the frame.

The student had a bag in the car that was opened, but nothing was missing from the bag of the car.

Police obtained fingerprints from the driver’s side window frame.

A man was cited for drinking in public Feb. 11, reports stated.

The man was sitting with two other people near a dumpster behind a convenience store near North Park Avenue and West Speedway Boulevard.

Several crushed beer cans were around the man and he was drinking from an opened can. His eyes were red and watery and he had a strong odor of alcohol.

When the officer asked why he was drinking in public, the man said they were just having a good time.

A man was arrested for warrants after police saw him stumbling while he was walking with a box carrying beers.

Police saw the man walking near North Park Avenue and West Sixth Street toward another man who was sitting in the middle of the sidewalk at 8:44 p.m.

The man was carrying six 40-ounce unopened beers. He stumbled while he walked and appeared to be drunk.

A records check showed he had two warrants from the Tucson Police Department for failure to appear in court. He was arrested and booked into Pima County Jail.
