Two students’ $300 organic chemistry books were stolen at the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., Monday afternoon.

The students told police they had left the books in a study hall around 3:30 p.m. to go put money in a parking meter.

The students said they returned about 15 minutes later to find their books gone.

The students said they had warned the bookstore that someone may try to sell the books back.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

A man was arrested Monday afternoon after he was seen dumpster-diving at Arizona Stadium, 540 N. Vine Ave., reports stated.

The man fled after he was seen going through the dumpsters, and police found him around 5:40 p.m.

When police approached, the man the man yelled, “”What do you want?””

Police asked the man if he had been going through the dumpsters and the man said, “”Yeah, I gotta eat,”” reports stated.

The man had been warned several times before about trespassing on campus.

Police ran a records check on the man and saw he had a warrant.

The man was booked into Pima County Jail, reports stated.

Three students didn’t pay a pizza delivery man the full price for their pizza early Saturday morning at Sigma Phi Epsilon, 1420 N. Vine Ave., reports stated.

The deliveryman told police he had delivered the pizza a little after midnight.

The deliveryman said one of the students gave him $9 and said the cost of the pizza was $15.49.

The deliveryman said the student had gone in to get more money, but had not come back.

The deliveryman said he had waited on the doorstep for several minutes, but said he had to leave to make another delivery.

Police went to Sigma Phi Epsilon, and the student said it had been a misunderstanding. The student agreed to pay the rest of the money.

Police were not able to contact the other two students, reports stated.

A student broke a window in Beta Theta Pi, 645 E. University Blvd., early Saturday morning, reports stated.

When police arrived around 3 a.m., a member of Beta Theta Pi said four or five members of Alpha Gamma Rho had come to the house. The member said the members of Alpha Gamma Rho started to talk loudly and became unruly. He said the members of Alpha Gamma Rho seemed drunk and were asked to leave.

The members of Alpha Gamma Rho did not leave and went upstairs. One of the members then elbowed a window and broke it.

The member of Beta Theta Pi said they did not want to press charges and would handle the matter civilly.

Police knocked on the door of Alpha Gamma Rho several times, but no one answered.

Police told the member of Beta Theta Pi to call if there were any more problems, reports stated.

Three students were cited for underage drinking and one was cited for possession of marijuana after a resident of Skyview Apartments, 1050 E. Eighth St., smelled marijuana coming from their room around 8:45 p.m., reports stated.

Police arrived and knocked on the door and were told to come in.

In plain view, police saw several open bottles of beer.

Police smelled marijuana. One of the students said he had smoked two joints in the bathroom and said he had put the remainder of the roaches in a beer can.

Police found the beer can with the marijuana residue inside.

All three students admitted to drinking.

The beer can was placed into evidence, reports stated.

An $80 white and blue supply sign was stolen from Bear Down Gym, 1428 E. University Blvd., sometime between April 19 and April 20, reports stated.

A UA employee told police the sign was last seen around 6 p.m. on April 19. He said he noticed the sign was missing around 5:30 a.m. the next day.

The sign said, “”Wildcat Battalion Supply.””

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

Police responded to a report of possible marijuana use early Friday morning at Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

Police arrived around 1:30 a.m. A resident assistant said the smell of marijuana was coming from one of the dorm rooms.

Police went to the dorm room and smelled marijuana.

Police knocked on the door several times, but no one answered.

Police could not hear any sounds coming from inside the dorm and left, reports stated.
