A female UA student was sexually assaulted by a man
brandishing a knife near the Koffler Building early Friday morning, police
said.
The University of Arizona Police Department said in a crime
alert that a man initiated a conversation with the student around 1:30 a.m.
before he pulled out a knife and sexually assaulted her.
The student was able to get away when the man got distracted
by other people walking in the area, police said.
The only description at this time for the suspect is a male
with a bandana over his face.
UAPD asks that anyone with information about this incident
call 9-1-1 or 621-8477 (TIPS).
