Illegal Pete’s Protest

Demonstrators gathered outside Illegal Pete’s, located at 876 East University Boulevard, on the eve of its opening to protest the name of the restaurant. Local youth activist organization UNIDOS and the University of Arizona chapter of MEChA organized the demonstration. UA students and faculty were in attendance in addition to local high school students and members of the public.
