Tucson native jams for punk pioneer

Singer-songwriter Nick Luca is returning to his hometown next week. Luca, who is known for fronting his band by the same name, is currently touring as the guitar player for John Doe, a pioneer of the punk-rock genre. Doe, who was the lead singer for the band X in the 1970s and 1980s, now tours in smaller clubs around the United States with a new sound - a mix of blues and country.

Storytellers lead listeners on an odyssey

Stories are everything. This was the thought of Penelope Starr when she created the Odyssey Storytelling Series. The event is held every month as six storytellers share their experiences about one topic. Starr, 61, was interested in starting the series in Tucson after she saw Porch Light, a similar group that is produced by her daughter-in-law in San Francisco.
