Simon's contract not renewed after three years as an assistant

UA assistant coach Miles Simon's contract was not renewed for next season, UA athletic director Jim Livengood announced Friday. Simon, who coached the perimeter players, spent three seasons as an Arizona assistant. Simon and UA athletic director Jim Livengood did not immediately return phone calls Friday evening.

Men's Golf Brief

Two Wildcats given Pac-10 honors A day after the Arizona men's golf team wrapped up the 2008 Pacific-10 Conference Championships with a sixth place finish which knocked them out of playoff contention, the team received some good news. Senior Creighton Honeck, who earned his first career win at the Pac-10 tournament, and freshman Tarquin MacManus were given All-Conference honors as voted by the head coaches of the Pac-10.
