By Bryan Roy

The NBA's Orlando draft camp excluded Chase Budinger from its guest list, but don't think the Arizona sophomore wasn't invited. Budinger elected not to attend this week's 2008 Pre-Draft Camp as a participant despite being invited, according to his father Duncan Budinger.

Pennell, Dunlap address media

It was a big day for the Arizona men's basketball team Monday. Kyle Fogg, a 2008 recruit, took an unofficial visit to the UA over the weekend and committed to play for the Wildcats next season. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard from Brea Olinda (Calif.) High School, averaged nearly 25 points per game as a senior, along with 8.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists. Meanwhile, Russ Pennell and Mike Dunlap held a joint press conference in McKale Center, using the word "trust" liberally.

Another women's basketball player leaves

McGee becomes 12th player since '04 to bolt

Newly hired UA head coach Niya Butts brought big plans to the Arizona women's basketball program. A small roster, however, might suspend those aspirations after a flood of transfers and exiting players dominated this offseason, and sophomore Marie McGee is the next to depart.

Lute Olson has completed his coaching staff. The UA men's basketball head coach named Reggie Geary as an assistant coach Wednesday. Top sports stories of the year

The Lute-K.O. saga Kevin O'Neill certainly didn't sign up for this. Nobody in the program did. Things weren't quite right from Nov. 4, the morning of the first men's basketball exhibition game, when UA head coach Lute Olson announced he would take an indefinite leave of absence.

Top coaches of the year

Frank Busch, men's and women's swim Winning two national championships is hard to do, just ask men's basketball head coach Lute Olson. Trying to win two championships in two weeks is nearly impossible, but that's exactly what Arizona head swim coach Frank Busch was a part of as his men's and women's swim teams delivered the school's 16th and17th national championships after the men's team won its title in Federal Way, Wash.

Top teams of the year

Men's and women's swim In a year where virtually every Arizona sport struggled to find a way to get the job done, the Arizona men's and women's swim teams were the polar opposite of that trend. Both were models of consistency this year as the squads lost a total of one dual meet combined.

By Lance Madden

Two down, one to go. The Arizona men's basketball team has it's second assistant coach for next season and needs only to fill the void of recently departed Josh Pastner, who will be coaching at Memphis in the fall. Mike Dunlap is the new association head coach of the Wildcat program, UA head coach Lute Olson announced Thursday.

Top moments

Football vs. Oregon, Nov. 15 It was supposed to be an easy win for Oregon. The Ducks came in with an 8-1 record and a Heisman Trophy candidate in quarterback Dennis Dixon, who led the charge for as long as he could before tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and leaving the game in the first quarter.

Four years to remember

Schwartz on Sports

By Michael Schwartz

Four years ago we set foot on the University of Arizona campus with dreams of bowl games and Final Fours. I even made sure to take my free Birthright trip to Israel during my freshman year of 2004 so as to clear my schedule for future bowl trips. So much for that.

Standout seniors

By Michael Schwartz

Men's Basketball Guard Jawann McClellan averaged 7.7 points per game and provided solid leadership throughout his four years in the program. He provided stability as a senior during a chaotic year. Forward Bret Brielmaier went from a walk-on to a quality rotation player during his four years as a Wildcat.
