The University of Arizona men’s and women’s swim and dive team participated in the Texas Diving Invitational from Nov. 15-17. Gage DuBois led the men’s team and Brooke Earley led the women’s team as both Wildcats made it to the championships for at least one of their events. The Wildcats completed the meet with four top 10 finishes.
In the men’s 1-meter championship, DuBois placed second with a score of 361.95. Arizona came behind Stanford University diver Jack Ryan, who placed first with a score of 398.85.
Additionally, DuBois finished sixth in the men’s 3-meter championship, scoring 360.10. He also placed fifth in the men’s platform diving event with a score of 361.35. Theo Hrach, who also competed in the men’s platform diving event scoring 246.00, placed 16th for the Wildcats.
For the women, Earley placed sixth in the 1-meter diving event, scoring 293.00. During the women’s platform diving event, two Wildcats placed within the top 25. Zarah Ayazi placed 20th with a score of 194.35, and Maria Colombo placed 22nd with a score of 184.20.
Looking ahead
The Wildcats will look to build on this momentum as they head to Raleigh, North Carolina, to compete in the Wolfpack Elite GAC invite from Nov. 21-23.
