The University of Arizona women’s basketball team is coming off an impressive 78-43 victory over Seattle University on Dec. 2 as Paulina Paris, a transfer from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, helped lead the team to victory. Paris has been making a name for herself in the Tucson community with her recent efforts, helping lift the team to multiple wins as she continues to shine on the court.
Arizona’s men’s swimming & diving team is back in action, proving that the Wildcats are one of the most dominant teams in the country. Arizona has won multiple awards and will continue its season in the USA Diving Nationals from Dec. 7-15. This group has demonstrated their depth and talent by putting on strong performances in a pool that is highly competitive.
Team: Men’s swimming & diving
The men’s swimming & diving team completed the Wolfpack Elite GAC Invite from Nov. 21-23, marking a high point in the season as Arizona put up an outstanding performance. The Wildcats recorded multiple season-best times in individual and relay events, earning two “A” cuts, indicating their preparedness for a run at the NCAA Championship.
On the second day of the event, Ralph Daleiden, Tomas Lukminas, Lars Kuljus and Miles Bottai completed the men’s 800 free relay with a time of 6:13.31, marking the fourth best time in the nation. Additionally, this earned the team its first of two NCAA “A” cut times to help Arizona automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships.
On the final day of the meet, Daleiden, Lukminas, Hunter Ingram and Jadan Nabor earned the Wildcats another “A” cut in the 400 free relay, finishing with a time of 2:48.65 time to rank No. 7 in the country for the event.
Haakon Naughton stood out for Arizona as he put up two personal bests for the men’s 100 and 200 fly. Naughton finished with a time of 45.27 in the 100 fly, ranking No. 12 in the country. He also recorded a time of 1:40.55 in the 200 fly, to rank the No. 4 time in the nation and earn the second best time in the program’s history. In addition to these stellar performances, Gage DuBois, a diving standout, maintained his excellent form and was awarded Big 12 Diving Honors twice in November.
As the season goes on, the team’s impressive accomplishments highlight the Wildcats’ depth and adaptability, establishing them as a powerful force. Arizona will compete in the USA Diving Nationals from Dec. 7-15 in Bloomington, Indiana.

Paris played a key role in the Arizona Wildcats’ commanding 78-43 victory over Seattle University. The junior guard demonstrated her ability to score and her poise on the court by recording a season-high 22 points. Notably, she also matched her previous career-high of 22 points recorded as a Tarheel.
Making her 10th straight start of the season, Paris excelled as a playmaker and recorded a career high of eight assists against the Redhawks. Paris continued her effectiveness offensively, going 10-for-13 from the field on a 76.9 shooting percentage.
Paris’ work was essential to the team’s victory and helped Arizona keep up its momentum as the Wildcats continue to prepare for conference games coming up. Paris’ crucial role in the Wildcats’ roster this season is further cemented by this excellent performance.
The Wildcats continue their season as they host GCU on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. in McKale Center.
