Musician Yung Gravy will perform live at Gentle Ben’s this Thursday, Aug. 28 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. as part of Urban Outfitters’ kick-off party.
The performance marks Urban Outfitter’s second consecutive back-to-campus concert in Tucson. Last year’s performer was singer-songwriter Tinashe.
“With this year’s (recently launched) Good Game campaign, we’re bringing UO back to campus through gameday activations, curated college shops, and community-driven experiences that celebrate school spirit,” said Kali Batista, the associate director of brand communications. “Our goal is to give students fun ways to connect, celebrate and feel a true sense of belonging on campus throughout the season.”
Tucson will be the first of multiple pop-up concerts that head to college cities, according to a news release. Students can expect surprise giveaways, spirited “UO Legends” mascot appearances and on-field action.
“Tucson was the natural choice to launch Good Game,” Batista said. “The city has one of the strongest game day cultures in the country, and that spirit runs through the entire community — including our UO Tucson store, powered by local students.”
The event is free on a first come first serve basis. All attendees must be 18+ and show a valid form of identification.
