Sonoran Restaurant Week returns for its seventh year and with it special dining opportunities across all of Tucson, running from Sept. 5 through Sept. 14. Described on its website as a “10-day celebration of Southern Arizona dining,” for the event participating prix fixe menus serving special meals.
Despite how limiting the name might sound, Sonoran Restaurant Week has a wide variety of participants serving food from all across the globe.
For 3 years, Amelia’s Mexican Kitchen has been serving acclaimed Mexican cuisine. The restaurant’s owner, Jose Contreras, was a James Beard Award semifinalist for the Best Chef of the Southwest.
For Sonoran Restaurant Week, Amelia’s is offering a multi course meal at $25 a person, with a starter course of tortilla soup then a second and third course of your choice. Options include a chicken tamal with mole or spinach tamal with mole for the second course and either choco flan or churros from the third course.
Amelia’s has two locations, one at 5553 E. Grant Rd. and another at 5851 N. Oracle Rd.
Approaching 5 decades of operation, Blue Willow is a well known brunch spot for Tucsonans.
For their menu, Blue Willow is serving an entree of green chili tamale pie or Three Sisters Stew, alongside house or caesar salad and choice between prickly pear margarita or lemon sparkler.

Listed as one of the best tacos by Tucson Foodie and ranking as one of the top 100 tacos in the entire United States on Yelp, it is safe to say El Taco Rustico knows their tacos. They are leaning into their specialty for their Sonoran Restaurant Week offer. For $25 you unlock unlimited tacos for a single hour. With close to two dozen types of meats listed on their website, your options for tacos include al pastor, carne asada, chicharrón, birria, cabrito (baby goat) and rajas con queso.
El Rustico has two locations, one at 2281 N. Oracle Rd. and another at 1830 S. Park Ave.
Noted for its romantic atmosphere, Reilly Craft Pizza & Drink is a purveyor of artisan Italian food.
$45 covers a meal for two. First is a starter salad that leads into the main course of one pizza and pasta of your choice, before finishing with a dessert of either gelato or sorbet. Reilly’s menu includes pizzas like the expected margherita and marinara pizzas, alongside yukon gold potato & pecorino pizza and pepperoni and fresno chile pizzas.
Reilly is located at 101 E. Pennington St.
If you are in the mood for Chinese noodles, the aptly named Noodleholics is offering a wide variety of choices across two Sonoran Restaurant Week menus.
Their “A” menu is $15 and includes a choice of small dishes such as garlic cucumber, crab puffs or veggie spring rolls. Noodles include sizzling garlic, tomato egg or dandan.
Their “B” menu is fixed at $25. It has small dishes of chaoshou dumplings with crab puffs or fried wings with garlic cucumber. The choice of noodles is between dry guilin, taiwan beef or house wonton.
Both menus come with a “Sweet Endings” giving you a choice between dessert roulette or house drinks.
Noodleholics has three locations at 3502 E. Grant Rd., 7850 N. Oracle Rd. and 6310 E. Tanque Verde Rd.
Since 1993 Zemam’s has been gracing the Tucson community with a taste of Ethiopian cuisine as the city’s first Ethiopian Restaurant.
For $24 you get a mixed sampler which includes two vegetables, one meat and a glass of house wine. For $45 you get two mixed samplers and two glasses of wine. Their choices of vegetables include roasted spiced cauliflower, gomen alicha and yemisir kay wat. Their meat dishes include spicy boneless chicken, spicy tilapia and gored-gored beef.
Zemam’s is located at 2731 E. Broadway Blvd.
