Collegiate sprint
The individual results saw all seven Wildcat participants finish in the top 25 in the collegiate sprint with two in the top five.
Senior and third-year competitor Kelly Wetteland finished first out of 66 competitors with a time of 1:02:48. Wetteland continues to be a huge athlete for the Arizona program. Ruth Pardy, sophomore first-year competitor, managed a fifth place performance with a time of 1:04:01.
Sophomore Sara Crociani finished 12th with Dana Prikrylová, who has been on the team since her freshman year, trailing closely behind in 15th.
Senior Molly Lakustiak, an experienced competitor with Arizona, finished 19th with a time of 1:06:16. Sophomores Ellison Wolfe and Mia Wentzy brought the team home with a 20th and 23rd finish.
Led by Wetteland’s first-place finish, the Wildcats’ depth was on full display in a very dominant showing for Arizona. The Wildcats proved to be a team to watch within the collegiate triathlon circuit.
