The University of Arizona Baseball team is set to continue its fall exhibition schedule with games against two of the state’s top junior college programs. Their upcoming matchups will see the Wildcats face off against Pima Community College on Friday, Oct. 17, followed by a game against Central Arizona College on Saturday, Oct. 25.
These contests are the Wildcats’ second and third games of the exhibition slate. The team looks to use these opportunities to prepare for a return to College World Series contention in 2026.
Arizona will be tested by the Pima and its high-octane offense averaging more than 8 runs a game in 2025 with two players combining for 112 RBIs over 60 games. Pima has a balanced pitching rotation with a staff ERA of 3.60 and multiple starters logging 60 or more innings. Last year Arizona won 10-3 showcasing the superior offensive firepower.
The Wildcats then look forward to Central Arizona, a national JUCO juggernaut winning multiple NJCAA World Series titles including their most recent in 2019. Over the years, Central Arizona has been a strong pipeline for the MLB with their most notable player being Ian Kinsler, a four-time all-star and World Series Champion second baseman. Central Arizona’s greatest strength is their power hitting with more than a homerun a game this year.
Arizona’s returning players participate in fall exhibitions as preparation for the upcoming season. Star player Mason White works on timing, plate coverage and developing chemistry by competing against top junior college opponents ahead of 2026. Owen Kramkowski leads the pitching staff, focusing on command and fastball velocity while gaining experience facing JUCO’s premiere power hitters.
