The University of Arizona men’s basketball team (28-2, 15-2 in Big 12) looks towards their final game of the season on Saturday, March 7 as they take on the University of Colorado, Boulder (17-13,7-10 in Big 12) in the CU Events Center at 9 p.m. MST. 

Key players

The first up for the Wildcats is freshman guard Brayden Burries, who averages 15.5 points per game along with 2.8 assists and five rebounds. Burries is great at making the tough buckets as well as stretching the game with his 3-point shooting ability.

Next up for the Wildcats is senior leader Jaden Bradley. He’s averaging 13.9 points per game as well as 4.7 assists and 3.5 rebounds. Bradley does a great job at keeping the team together during the momentum swings and creating the big shots that are necessary late in the game.

For Colorado, freshman guard Isaiah Johnson is essential to the team’s success. Johnson averages 16.6 points, three rebounds and three assists. 

Keys to the game

Arizona will have to find a way to control the rebounding game, as they average 11 more rebounds than Colorado. They also average six more assists than their opponents per game which will be crucial when it comes to setting their teammates up for successful shots. 

For Colorado, they will have to rely on getting points off of turnovers, as they average 3 more points per game. The Buffaloes will also need to win the assists if they want to have any chance at walking out with a victory.

With the regular season coming to a close and postseason play just around the corner, the Wildcats will look to keep their momentum rolling as they head into the final game of the season before heading to the Big 12 Tournament.
