Arizona basketball senior Solomon Hill has been named to the John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top-50. The list is comprised of 50 student athletes who are under consideration for college basketball’s player-of-the-year award.
Hill averaged 12.9 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game to go with a .500 (151-of-302) field goal percentage year. He scored in double figures 27 times, and had three 20-point games and 12 double-doubles. He ranked 16th in the Pac-12 Conference in scoring, second in rebounding and 13th in field goal percentage.
Hill scored a career-high 28 points on Jan. 28 vs. Washington. He is one of four Pac-12 players on the list.
The National Ballot will go out in March to select the winner, as well as the Wooden Award All-America team.
