    • Kanye West’s parents divorced when he was three.
    • His mother is a former English professor at Chicago State University.
    • He has produced songs for many different artists like Alicia Keys, DMX, Jay-Z, Commom and Mos Def.
    • In 2005, he was nominated for 10 Grammys — He ended up going home with three.
    • At the 2008 Grammys, he performed a song he wrote called “”Hey Mama.”” It was a special message to his mother about her death. In the song he mentioned seeing her in his dreams.
    • He moved to Chicago when he was 3.
