MILITARY TRAINING AND UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA

The military department is one of the most important departments of the University. With the United States fully in to the war which is raging at full tile across the sea, it is highly important for our Universities to devise some plan whereby they can help West Point furnish officers for our armies. This is the aim and object of the military department: —For many years they have looked on it as a kind of physical training but now it has assumed larger and more important proportions. Now all male students are required to take military training, both drill and theoretical, during the entire four years of their college course and at the end of this course they are recommended for commissions in the Officers Reserve Corps of the United States Army.
