Buildings on UA’s main campus lost power for about 15 seconds at around 3:40 p.m., on Wednesday.
“”It’s my understanding that it just happened recently and I talked to my staff and there were problems with line coming in from TEP (Tucson Electric Power) substation up on Irvington that caused about 15 seconds power loss on main campus but not north campus like the Health Sciences,”” said Christopher Kopach, director of UA Facilities Management. “”We’re checking everything on our end to make sure it’s OK.””
Officials do not believe the problem will occur again.
