    Things to know today

    Farewell to Likins

    Today the UA community is invited to say goodbye to president emeritus Peter Likins and his wife, Pat. Likins retired in July after nine years as the university president. The event will take place in the North Grand Ballroom of the Student Union Memorial Center from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.


    College of Medicine ranks 9th for Hispanic students

    The College of Medicine is ranked ninth by Hispanic Business Magazine in its list of top 10 schools for Hispanic students. The College of Medicine dropped two spots from last year, when it came in seventh. The medical school is partnered with the Arizona Hispanic Center for Excellence, the Office of Minority Affairs and the Office of Student Affairs.


    Give blood and register to vote

    Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-medical honorary, is hosting a blood drive on the UA Mall near the Cherry Avenue pullout from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. today and the women’s studies department will be hosting the “”Get Her Vote Out!”” voter registration table on the UA Mall today from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
