Arizona students failed to sell out the student section yesterday, giving the general public the opportunity to buy those seats starting today, according to Zona Zoo director Michael Huston.
He said 1,700 tickets have been sold for No. 19 Arizona’s game tomorrow against No. 22 USC, while 1,800 seats have been sold for Saturday’s showdown against No. 5 UCLA.
“”I’m disappointed we didn’t sell more tickets,”” Huston said. “”I hope students will take advantage of the time they have left, at least on the UCLA game, to buy the seats, and I hope we have a really strong showing.””
Huston said he still plans on fighting for students to keep the same number of seats in next year’s student section by arguing a revised ticketing system that should generate more sales, but recent ticket sales won’t help the effort.
“”It’s certainly more difficult to argue when you see these numbers come in for a high-profile game like UCLA,”” he said.
Tickets are available for $18 at the McKale Ticket Office.
