    On the Spot

We found communication senior Matt Vogels at the GradFest tent on the UA Mall.

Wildcat: You’re on the spot. What are you going to do to pay off your loans?

Vogels: I don’t have any loans. My parents helped me pay for school. It’s all good.

W: Are you thinking about grad school?

V: I’m not actually. I’m heading straight to the workforce. I’m done with school now.

W: Do you have a job lined up?

V: No, I do not have a job lined up right now. I’m going to take one step at a time. Just get a job over summer and get started. And go from there.

W: What kind of job are you thinking about?

V: I’m thinking about a job that my major can help me get.

W: So are your parents in town?

    V: Right now?

    W: Yeah.

V: They’re going to be in town for graduation in May.

W: Are you going out to dinner tonight?

V: Yeah, we’re going to go out tonight.

W: Are (your parents) giving you money?

V: I don’t even know yet. They haven’t really told me. I figure, as much as they did for me to pay for school, I don’t really mind either way.

W: Did you get drunk earlier?

    V: What’s that? No.

W: Isn’t that what people do?

V: Yeah, people do. I like getting drunk at night. I still got work to do. I had class today and stuff.

W: It’s really cool though that you can do this instead of the long ceremony.

V: Yeah, I know. Just take care of it like this. It’s no big deal. It’s all over.
