The Arizona softball team had four players named to the USA Softball Watch List for potential recipients of USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year Award yesterday.
Included in the list were senior shortstop Kristie Fox and senior outfielder Caitlin Lowe. Juniors Taryne Mowatt and Callista Balko also made the list, making Arizona the only team with four players.

coach’s poll
Coming off its seventh national title a year ago, the Wildcats were chosen to win the Pacific 10 Conference this year in the preseason Pac-10 coaches’ poll.
After correctly choosing the eventual Pac-10 winners each of the last two seasons, the coaches gave Arizona a two-vote advantage over last year’s conference champion UCLA.
