    3 things to know today

    It’s Feed the World Day!

    The UA Krishna Club is co-sponsoring an event at Gavinda’s Natural Foods, 711 E. Blacklidge Drive, from 4-8 p.m. today. The event promotes free wholesome vegetarian food. Live music and health-related booths will be on display. For more information, call 792-0630.

    Turtle hatching

    Environmentalists and Rocky Point residents are awaiting the hatching of eggs planted by Olive Ridley turtles, an endangered species. The eggs have stirred attention since they were planted Thursday on the coast of Puerto PeÇñasco in Las Conches, near Playa Bonita, a popular resort area.

    Today is Arizona State Parks’s 50th anniversary. Today is the last day to get a free cave tour at Karchner Caverns, on Arizona-90, nine miles south of I-10, by mentioning the anniversary. For more information, call 520-586-2283.
