Among the 600 scientists gathering at the University over the week-end for the history-making Solar Energy Convention will be some of the world’s top experts — men who have united thoughtfully at the sun and returned to their laboratories to produce modern wonders from the earth’s oldest source of power.
Presiding over the section of electrical application of the sun’s energy will be America’s G. L. Larson Pearson is the Bell Telephone physicist who developed a solar silicon battery which powered a Georgia telephone line early this month.
