Ladies, it’s time to pack away your winter gloves and layer on some new nail colors. If there’s ever a time to be excited for nail lacquer, it’s spring.

Luckily for us, there are fabulous new nail polish lines to try. This spring, you can go wild with patterned designs, understated with pastel hues, glamorous with sparkles or bright with neon. For your spring nail polish collections, there are great brands and styles you can try:

    Pale in pastel

Pastels have been trending this season whether in yellow hues, natural pale pinks, sea foam green tones or lavenders. Because these shades are understated, they can be matched with just about any outfit or jewelry combination. It’s the perfect time to add Easter egg colors to your nail polish collection.

Try: OPI’s New York City Ballet line. These assortments of polishes offer a soft range of colors. Shop online at opi.com.

    Sparkle ‘n’ shine

Sparkles and shimmery metallic lacquers are great for nights out on the town or for spicing up a look.

Try: Luxeffects by Essie. This collection is full of sparkly choices that you can use to paint over any color of your choice. Essie’s spring line offers bold and pastel hues that nicely complement the Luxeffects shine polishes.

    Ready-made nail art

Nail polish strips are a quick and easy way to get gorgeous and stylish nails with a simple peel and stick method. The best part is that there’s no mess and no waiting time after application. Whether you’re in a hurry for class or have a hard time with DIY methods, these strips do all the hard work for you.

Try: Sally Hansen’s Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips. Go wild. You can experiment with patterns such as argyle, zebra print, text or plain colors.

    Go neon

Looking for another way to show off your fabulous spring break tan? Complement that bronzed glow with highlighter oranges, blues, yellows, greens or pinks for nails. Not only will your nails pop, but so will your sun-kissed skin.

    Try: American Apparel’s Neon selections.

    The classics

You can never go wrong with a classic red manicure. The bright pop of red works anytime, anywhere. This makes for a sexy and feminine style that looks great in the office or at a cocktail party.

Try: Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel in “Delicious.”

    Nail tips

    Style your nails

Every good manicure can be dressed up with oversized rings and bangle bracelets. No matter what colors you decide on for your manicure, adding a touch of silver or gold jewelry makes for a stylish set of nails and hands.

    Switch it up

Who says you have to wear just one color at a time on your finger nails? Many of us may have noticed our friends rocking this look: a manicured set of nails with one hand-painted design or bedazzle on the ring finger. Painting a different color or adding a design to one nail is a creative and trendy approach to a manicure.

If you’re looking for a nail polish line that incorporates all these springtime trends, try Butter London’s new spring line. Not to mention, this beauty brand is non-toxic.
