Will Ferrell announces sequel to ‘Anchorman’

Ron Burgundy, San Diego and America’s favorite newsman appeared on Conan O’Brien last week to announce a sequel to the legendary 2004 movie “Anchorman.” When Will Ferrell, playing Ron Burgundy, busted out his signature jazz flute moves on Conan, an excited crowd cheered him on. As a fellow journalist and avid “Anchorman” fan, I couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming film. Who wouldn’t want to join Brick Tamland, Brian Fantana, Champ Kind, Wes Mantooth and Veronica Corningstone for another epic tale of newsroom drama? Ferrell won the heart of millions as the leader of the channel 4 news team, and I have faith that he can do it again.

With such failed films as “Semi-Pro” and “The Other Guys,” America needs another movie that showcases Ferrell’s comedic talent. Although the upcoming sequel has no announced release date, Ferrell’s jazz flute performance promised another hilarious film, leaving some anxious for its release. Now, all we can do is wait, but until then …

    You stay classy, Wildcats.
