    Police Beat

    A student’s $3,000 red and white street bicycle was stolen sometime Sept. 26 from the bike racks outside the Gould-Simpson building, 1040 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

    The student told police he locked his bicycle to the north-side racks before going to class at 9:30 a.m.

    When the student returned to the racks at 11:30 a.m., his bicycle was missing, reports stated.

    Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


    A student reported losing his designer bi-fold wallet sometime Sept. 26 in the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

    The student described the wallet as being black leather with a silver “”V”” on the front, reports stated.

    The student told police he last remembered having his wallet at 4 p.m. near the student union and noticed it was missing at 6 p.m.

    The wallet contained the student’s credit cards, CatCard, ZonaZoo pass, gym membership card and $34 cash, reports stated.

    The student told police he retraced his steps but couldn’t find his wallet.


    A vehicle antenna was stolen sometime Wednesday from the Arizona Crop Improvement Association, 2120 E. Allen Road, reports stated.

    An employee told police the antenna belonged to a UA vehicle and was taken sometime between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

    There was no damage to the vehicle and nothing else had been taken, reports stated.

    Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


    A student’s $200 stereo and $300 12-inch subwoofer were stolen from his vehicle sometime Wednesday while it was parked at 445 N. Warren Ave., reports stated.

    The student told police he parked his vehicle at 8:30 a.m., and when he returned at 7:58 p.m., he noticed his driver’s side window was broken out and his stereo and subwoofer were gone.

    The student didn’t have the serial numbers for the stereo or the subwoofer, reports stated.

    No evidence was left at the scene and police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


    A student’s $400 gray bicycle was stolen sometime Sept. 26 from the bike racks outside of the Meinel Optical Sciences building, 1630 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

    The bicycle had front and rear fenders and a black rack on the back, reports stated.

    The student told police he locked his bicycle with a cable lock to the bike racks at 7:30 a.m. and noticed it was missing at 4:40 p.m.

    The cable lock had been broken at the joint of the lock and left at the scene, reports stated.

    The broken lock was placed into evidence.

    Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


    An employee lost his passport at an unknown location sometime prior to Sept. 26, reports stated.

    The employee told police he was uncertain of the time or location where he last saw his passport but noticed it was missing at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 26.

    The employee said he worked at the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building, 1130 N. Mountain Ave., but had never brought his passport to work, reports stated.

    The employee told police he had retraced his steps but was unable to find the passport.
