Transitioning to summer from spring isn’t too difficult in the fashion industry, even with the heat of the sun bearing down. Many trends that rocked in December and January are still wearable through August – just make sure to toss that goldenrod trench into the back of the closet.
Women might want to stow away any super-sequiny dresses or tops, while vivid colors, satin fabrics, gladiator shoes, oversized bags and ruffles should translate well under the summer sunshine.
For men, a casual approach to fashion is often accepted and appreciated in Tucson, and should be accented this summer with light cotton fabrics, clean jeans (no one wants to see 4-year-old ripped Levi’s), funky accessories, bright polos and anything seersucker.
