Arizona forward Jordan Hill was named the U.S. Bank Pacific 10 Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 8-14, league commissioner Tom Hansen announced Monday.

Hill posted a career-high 25 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks in a 69-59 win over San Diego State on Wednesday, marking his sixth double-double of the season.

He had 22 points, six boards and three blocks in an upset win over then-No. 4 Gonzaga in U.S. Airways Center on Sunday.

Hill is the first Arizona player to earn Pac-10 Player-of-the-Week honors this season. It is the second time Hill has earned the distinction in his career, and the 72nd such award for an Arizona player.

On the year, he averages 18.8 points, 11.8 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game, while shooting 60.9 percent from the field.

    Arizona still not ranked
Arizona still hasn’t cracked the Associated Press Top-25 Poll, though the Wildcats did receive 10 votes in the Dec. 15 poll.
